Built in 1936 by resort founder Carl Hedquist, Old Pioneer Cabin was Shady Shore’s first structure and maintains its original charm today as one of the resort’s most popular cabins. With one double-size-bed bedroom, original maple floors, and classic French-pane windows throughout the historic cabin provides a cozy, intimate get-away place for any couple. Located directly above one of the resort’s fishing docks, Old Pioneer sits 20ft. away from the Moose Lake shoreline and sports one of the area’s most spectacular views. With a full kitchen and a bathroom with an upright shower and sink vanity, the “pioneers” staying in this cabin have the simple comforts of home.
